ROLLINS, CORBET, CORBETT, McCORD, SIMPSON

My great great aunt, Isabella ROLLINS(1)  (b. 12 August 1886, Co Tyrone) is listed on the SS Teutonic arriving NY Oct 1903.   She is in the company of Eliza Jane McCORD (aged 34) and Annie SIMPSON, aged 14. Isabella and Eliza Jane given their residence in USA as North 13th Street Philadelphia, and their occupations as carpet weavers.    Annie is apparently a typist.   My great aunt Isabella ROLLINS (2), niece to Isabella (1), came to the States within a few years.    We believe tostay with Isabella (1).    Subsequently Isaella (2) married, believed to a CORBET(T).   Family stories say that Isabella (2) had four sons, all whom of which died on 7 Dece 1941:  two at Pearl Harbor and two  in a fishing accident.   Cannot find any Corbet(t)s or Rollins in the PH casuality lists.   My great aunt Isabella (aka Bella) died 'fairly soon afterwards of a broken heart'.   Have learnt only this week from an elderly cousin in Co Tyrone that Isabella(2) may well have made a trip back when this cousin was 'just a wee thing',   Since she was born in Nov 1927, we are assuming it could be sometime between 1928-35.  Would very much like to find what became of the two Isabellas.

Benjamin Shoemaker, Conrad Reif, Frederick and Garret Fiscus.  I am doing my family research on Frederick and Garret(Gerhardt) Fiscus/Fischcus/Fisckcus.   They arrived in Philadelphia on September 2, 1743.  They came via the ship "Loyal Judith", James Cowey, Master.  A second Garret arrived in Philadelphia on October 8, 1744.  I have information that they all settled in Germantown.  I have an exerpt from the book    EMIGRANTS TO PENNSYLVANIA, p. 84, that states "Garret Fiscus, taylor, in consideration of twenty-one pounds paid by Conrad Reif, of Phila, to Benjamin Shoemaker for his and his wife's passage from Holland indents himself a servant to Conrad Reif, for four years from this date.  Customary dues. (Dec. 7th, 1745).  I cannot find any information on such Conrad Reif, and there are numerous Benjamin Shoemakers but I don't know how to find the right one as I have no middle name, dob, or anything more on him.  I have information that the record of their arrival in Philadelphia is still in the archives of the State of Pennsylvania.  Is this information available over the internet or how or where do I find any information on such Conrad Reif and Benjamin Shoemaker?  Any information on these families would be appreciated.

MCDANIEL, KIRBY, LONGSTRETH

I am looking for information regarding McDaniel in Philadelphia, 1760-1783. I have found one document with his name, a will of Mary Kirby, dated 1882, with Robert McDaniel as a witness, and Joseph Longstreth as executor. Robert was born Aug. 24, 1756 in Maine, and came to Philadelphia with his father at some time between 1760 and 1780, most likely mid 1760's. He was apprenticed by his father to Joseph Longstreth of then Philadelphia, now the Hatboro area of Pa. This information is from the Matthews and Hungerford 1888 edition of the "History of Carbon Co.  BRITTAIN

I am looking for descendants of WILLARD J. BRITTAIN/Louise Hamilton-paternal aunt to William Clarke Herzog nee Hamilton.  I do not have much documented information about them.  Here is what I do not of them: WILLARD J. BRITTAIN's parents/siblings unknown.  Birth year between 1900-1907-place: in or near Beaver Falls, Beaver Cty, PA (west). Louise Hamilton was born in 1907 in Beaver Falls, PA. Only daughter of William Andrew Hamilton and Nannie Gootee.   One sibling/brother- William Page Hamilton birth father of  William Clarke Herzog nee Hamilton-my father (her only nephew). ***Louise H[amilton] BRITTAIN would be my fathers' paternal aunt.  I, Alice Metzloff, would be her GRAND NIECE.  WILLARD J. BRITTAIN/Louise Hamilton were married in Beaver Falls, PA in 1925/26. After marriage, lived in Beaver Falls, PA area until 1929. WILLARD J. BRITTAIN worked for the P&LE Rail Road. Sometime in 1929 they left Beaver Falls for Ohio-Stark County area.  Where exactly is not known.  While in this area, between 1930 and 1938 they have 2 or 3 children (a son and daughter are known about) names/birthdates/places unknown.  In 1938 they move to live in the City of Canton, Stark County, OH until 1940.  Louises' brother, William Page Hamilton (my paternal grandfather) dies in June 1938 in Harrisburg, PA and buried in Beaver Falls Cemetery, PA.  After his death, Louise H.s' aged parents, William Andrew and Nannie G. Hamilton come to live in City of Canton, with their daughter and family.  William Andrew Hamilton, dies March 3, 1939 and returned for burial in Beaver Falls Cemetery, PA along side son.  (Reason for thinking there are 3 BRITTAIN children is that in William Andrew Hamiltons' Canton Repository newspaper obit it mentions "four grandchildren"...my father is one...leaving 3.)  Sometime in 1940/41...WILLARD J. BRITTAIN/Louise H., mother- Nannie G. Hamilton and the 2/3 BRITTAIN children move to an unknown PHILADELPHIA SUBURB.    WILLARD J. BRITTAIN worked for the P &LE railroad and most likely made this move from City of Canton, Stark Cty, Ohio to this unknown Philadelphia suburb to work for the "war effort" as World War 2 was just beginning.  According to a Gootee cousin, George S. Hudson, he remembers visiting WILLARD J. BRITTAIN/Louise H. and these unknown BRITTAIN children in their home in this unknown PHILADELPHIA suburb  towards the end of WW2 in 1944/45 but his sister does not remember meeting Nannie G. Hamilton. This leads me to believe that though Nannie G. Hamilton made the move from City of Canton, Stark Cty, OH to this unknown suburb of Philadelphia in 1940 at 77+ years of age (she was too old to attend her brother, Reverend Charles Gootees', funeral in Virginia)...she died soon after it and was buried within this same unknown suburb area. This unknown suburb of Philadelphia is the only link I have to finding my father's elusive Aunt Louise and his only first cousins.Today:  My father has only one known LIVING relative...A CLARK aunt who is 94 years old in a nursing home.   WILLARD J. BRITTAIN and Louise H. would most likely be deceased within the last 10 years or so.  If not, they are in their mid to late 90s.  Whereabouts unknown.  These BRITTAIN children would be in their 60s-70s going by my fathers' birth year of 1934 and current age of 67.  Most likely they were married with children of their own.  Names, whereabouts unknown.  This is all the information/assumptions I have so far.  What I would like to know is:  1.  What are the names of these 2/3 unknown BRITTAIN children?  2.   WHAT IS THE NAME OF THIS UNKNOWN PHILADELPHIA SUBURB?  3.  Where can I find records for 1940-1950 that may show WILLARD J. BRITTAIN, Louise H., their 2/3 children and Nannie G. Hamilton as residents?  WILLARD J> BRITTAIN as retired from the Railroad?  4.  Assuming that WILLARD J. BRITTAIN and Louise H. are dead,  where are they buried?  Is Nannie G. Hamilton buried somewhere within this unknown Philadelphia suburb area? (She is not interred in Beaver Falls Cemetery, PA or in Canton, OH...interment records for William Andrew and William Page Hamilton prove this.)  5.  Are there any LIVING BRITTAIN descendants still in the Philadelphia/suburbs area? If not, where did they go and where are they now?  If so, WHERE ARE YOU?  My father has been searching for his lost HAMILTON roots for over 30 years to no avail!  I would love to tell my father I found his long lost Aunt Louise and first cousins!  If any of this information pertains to your family...PLEASE contact me!
